What are CBD capsules?
CBD capsules come in many forms, including CBD pills, tablets and sublingual wafers. The most common variety is CBD oil capsules, which are softgel cases containing CBD oil.
CBD (cannabidiol) is a compound found in relative abundance in the Cannabis sativa plant. Unlike THC, which is the main intoxicating compound in cannabis, CBD will not make you ‘high’ and is not addictive.
Naturecan’s CBD oil capsules are made using a pure broad-spectrum CBD distillate, which contains a rich mix of cannabinoids that work together to enhance the oil’s effectiveness - a phenomenon known as the ‘entourage effect’.
In addition, all of Naturecan’s CBD products have non-detectable levels of THC (the primary intoxicating compound in cannabis), which means they won’t make you ‘high’ and are non-addictive.
What are the benefits of CBD capsules?
CBD capsules offer all the potential benefits of CBD in a familiar, easy-to-take form. They are taste-free, and make it simple to manage your CBD dosage, as each capsule contains the same fixed amount of CBD. Some of Naturecan’s CBD capsules include additional ingredients, such as vitamins and Curcumin, which offer further potential benefits.
In numerous scientific studies, CBD has been shown to improve the symptoms of various health conditions, including chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia and inflammation.
How do CBD capsules work?
CBD capsules work in a similar way to CBD edibles. When consumed, they are broken down by the digestive system before entering the bloodstream. As a result, CBD capsules can take slightly longer to work than CBD oils, which are administered under the tongue and enter the bloodstream directly.
While CBD oils start working after 15-30 minutes, it typically takes CBD capsules between one and two hours to take effect, although this can depend on various factors, including your weight, metabolism and reasons for taking CBD. On average, the effects of CBD last for 2-8 hours.
What makes Naturecan's CBD capsules special?
6 different capsule variants
We offer 6 different types of capsules, containing either 10mg or 25mg CBD per capsule. Some types contain additional vitamins, some are 100% vegan, and some offer 16x faster CBD absorption.
Because broad-spectrum CBD contains multiple cannabinoids, the compounds work together to enhance the natural properties of the oil - a phenomenon known as the 'entourage effect'.
Doesn't taste like hemp
Perfect for people who don't like the taste of hemp. The oil is enclosed in the soft capsule and therefore cannot be tasted.
Easy ingestion & dosage
CBD oil capsules offer an easy way to manage your CBD dosage in a familiar, easy-to-take form.
We can guarantee the purity of our oil based on our rigorous testing protocols. All our products go through a strict testing process to guarantee their quality and safety and are then tested again by independent laboratories such as Euro Fins. This process consists of at least six stages and includes testing for CBD potency, THC, pesticides, heavy metals, microbial contamination, and solvent residues.
How many CBD capsules should I take per day?
CBD dosage differs for everyone, and depends on various factors including your reasons for taking CBD. As a starting point, we recommend taking between 10mg and 30mg CBD per day. Naturecan’s CBD capsules contain 10mg or 25 mg CBD, so a starting dose could be one to three 10mg capsules, or one 25mg capsule. To find a more tailored dosage, we recommend using our CBD Oil Dosage Calculator.
The FSA recommends that adults do not take more than 70mg CBD per day (including any supplements). Following this guidance, you can manage your daily dosage based on what works best for you, and combine other CBD products if desired.
Who are CBD capsules for?
CBD capsules are ideal for people who are new to CBD, as they are quick and easy to take, and offer a simple way to manage dosage. CBD capsules are also perfect for people who lead very busy or active lives, as they can be carried around easily and taken quickly.
CBD oil capsules should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet. They are also not suitable for pregnant or lactating women. If you have a pre-existing medical condition or take prescribed medication, ask a medical professional before use.
How do I take the CBD capsules correctly?
Find the right dosage
CBD dosage depends on many different factors, such as height, weight, reason for taking CBD and the severity of the complaint.
Try out our CBD dosage calculator and find your optimal dosage.
Take with water
Swallow 1 - 2 capsules daily with enough water and preferably with a fatty meal (this increases the bioavailability, so more CBD gets into the bloodstream).
Let it take effect
Since the CBD oil in the capsules is absorbed through the stomach lining, it can take 30-60 minutes for it to take effect.
You can take CBD every day and incorporate it into your daily routine.

How to store CBD oil capsules?
When it comes to storing CBD oil capsules, it is important to protect them from any excess light, air and heat. Doing so will preserve their quality and potency for as long as possible.
Light: Keep your CBD capsules in a dark room or cupboard, away from direct or excessive light.
Air: Make sure your CBD capsules container is completely sealed when not in use to keep out excess oxygen and other contaminants.
Heat: Store your CBD capsules at or below room temperature (around 20°C) away from any potential sources of heat, such as radiators, stoves, and other appliances.
In addition, the product should be stored out of the reach of young children.
How long do CBD capsules last?
The shelf life of CBD capsules depends on various factors, including quality, packaging and storage. In general, CBD products usually expire after one or two years, at which point they begin to degrade and lose potency.
CBD capsules tend to have a slightly longer shelf life than CBD oils, so they are a good option for buying in bulk. An unpleasant smell, unpalatable taste and a change in colour and consistency may be signs that your CBD capsules have expired.
What should I look for when buying CBD oil capsules?
When buying CBD oil capsules, it is important to look out for third-party lab reports, as certification from an independent testing laboratory will guarantee the safety and quality of the product.
More specifically, we recommend reading the product’s Certificate of Analysis if available, in order to ensure that it has safe levels of THC (i.e. less than 0.2%) and does not contain any heavy metals or other contaminants.
